Using scented wipes on one’s lips in Ihram

Question(s): On the way to makkah after the miqat, we stopped for lunch and without realising, I used the wipe given to wipe my lips and part of hand. Unfortunately I just checked and realised the wipe has fragrance on it. What happens now?

Answer(s):
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In the scenario in question, Sadaqah (Fitr amount) is necessary.

قال القاضي خان في فتاويه (١/٢٥٦): إذا غسل المحرم يده بأشنان فيه طيب، فإن كان إذا نظروا إليه قالوا: هذا أشنان ففيه الصدقة، وإن قالوا: هو طيب فعليه الدم، ونقل عنه ابن الهمام
في فتح القدير (٣/٢٨) وأبو البقاء المكي في البحر العميق (٢/٨٤٠). وكذا في المحيط البرهاني (٢/٤٥٥) أيضا.
وقال ابن عابدين في رد المحتار (٢/٥٤٧): وأما إذا خلط بما يستعمل في البدن كأشنان ونحوه، ففي شرح اللباب عن المنتقى: إن كان إذا نظر إليه قالوا هذا أشنان فعليه صدقة، وإن قالوا هذا طيب عليه دم (قوله كره) أي إن وجدت معه الرائحة كما مر. انتهى. والله تعاى أعلم، وعلمه أتم وأحكم
