Using toothpaste whilst fasting

Question(s):
Does using toothpaste break your fast?

Answer(s):
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Using toothpaste will not break the fast unless it is swallowed down the throat. Nonetheless, doing so is disliked (makruh) due to the high risk of the fast being broken due to swallowing.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best.
Ibn Talha
